Progress report

Minus 3 lbs.
Shivering in the cold must burn a lot of calories.
I wish it would warm up, anyway.

weigh in

I lost .6 this week. I was hoping for more because I worked really hard this week.
Plus pushing snow off the driveway every morning before work.

Details

Present for Holiday dinner - Shirley, Bob, Jonathan, April, Cassie, Alex, Adam, Janell, Randy, Jack, Emily, Scott, Lisa, Faith, Bob, Grady, Cindy, Jaydee, Kendra, Tammie, Randy, Jerry & Sue. Did I miss anybody? Joe and his family never seem to make it. His excuse this time - he had to work. Abby started her club volleyball practice.

The first gift out was Bob's, A pair of "white elephants" dressed in red and green.
They were really cute, but no one seemed to want to steal them. The M&M jar, complete with M&M's seemed to be a real popular steal. Other gifts were the Carson family cookbook & prints from the Leaning Tree museum, a box with pencils and crayons, Elvis glasses, a box of candy, mugs with hot chocolate, a Christmas ornament, gourmet coffee, a bag of small athletic balls, I guess that's all I can remember. Someone can fill in the blanks. It was really fun and I hope a new tradition.

Holiday dinner

OK I've been waiting to hear about the gifts and the exchange and all you guys talk about is the food.  Well you did say it was fun and Janell missed me.

What was the best gift and who got it?  The prettiest?  The funniest?   The ugliest?   What was the worst and who is stuck with it?  (Hint for next year..The worst one should reappear.)  No, I'm not coming to try to get it next year.  I want to hear about some new traditions--besides having to change the date.

AND who all appeared?

Christmas a little late

And a good time was had by all.

A nice drive with the family to Norfolk. A great dinner with lots to chose from to eat. And a fun gift exchange. Everyone did great on the gift giving. And we all behaved admirably.

THANKS!

To everyone for a great afternoon of fun and good food!
Happy New Year!

Thanks, Myrna, for the cool postcards: you sure know what I like!

To Jerry; for getting us a deer this year.

Have a good week, everyone.

Late Christmas

We finally got to have our twice postponed family Christmas. Jerry's elk was the main attraction. Janell brought a venizen roast which was very good. Roast beef and pork were added for those not inclined to try the wild game. All of it was very tasty.

Since our house is not very big, everyone was in on all the activities. There is a nice room downstairs for the kids to tear around. I think they had a good time. We had a snowball gift exchange which was a lot of fun.

Now it is time to take down the decorations and put them away for another year. The outside ones may have to wait since they are buried in snow. So I better get busy because it is back to work tomorrow.
