Remembering - Gatewood/Gaines Cemetery; Shelby County, Indiana

Visited here in 2015. Henry is our Great x 4 Grandfather.
The other is Oscar Gatewood's stone. His epitaph: "Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal;
               "From dust thou camest to dust returneth was not spoken of the soul!"
Oscar and Henry, I think, were brothers.

Has your birthday landed on Palm Sunday again, like Mom said it did when you were born? Am looking around for a good pic to post. Anyway, hope your day is happy. Suppose you are headed to Salmon Creek soon.

One story I recall Mom telling was that, one night, when you were a toddler, long after she had put you to bed, she heard you yelling. When she went in to see what the problem was, she found you had torn all the blankets and sheets off your crib. You looked up at her and siad, "Fikabed, Ma."
