Minus 11 pounds, as of 7 AM Friday. DISCLAIMER: I had my period the day I recorded my starting weight. Also, I recorded it mid-day, so I'm not sure how accurate it was.
I gained 1 lb this week (since last Friday). Really disappointed because I have worked out real hard for the last 3 days. After I weighed in today, I packed up the left over cherry mash and brought it to work for the people here to clean up. The good side is I lost 1 lb since Tuesday morning. I am going to set a mini goal of 1/2 lb a week. I know this doesn't seem like much, but I really can't seem to lose much no matter how hard I work. An article I read this week said the people that journal lose more than those who don't. Another piece of advice is to watch the BLT's. That is Bites, Licks and Tastes that add up. These must be recorded. Sue
1/2 lb a week is reasonable. An article I was reading showed how slow weight loss is better in the long run. Small losses are easier to maintain than big ones. Plus your body adjusts easier on a long-term, slow basis.
Yes, a 1/2 pound would be very reasonable. I've read several articles that say slower is better. Couldn't find anything about how the menstrual cycle affects it, tho. Guess I'll check with my advisor at GNC. Sue, what are you doing for a workout? All I've managed to do is a walk every day and added a little jogging the last couple of mornings.
I usually go home over my lunch hour and walk 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill. When I get off work, I get back on the darn thing and do 2miles. I also have an airdyne bike that I have been neglecting, but have been spending some time on for some extra. I have a palates ball which I think I need some instruction to use correctly. I have some free weights that I am trying to get into. I have The Biggest Loser workout dvd which has both cardio and weights on it. I did the weight part last night. I also have some vcr tapes that I have had for a long time. Some of my problem may be that I do too much on the treadmill and not enough variety. One of my plans is to try to do more variety in my workouts. I really wish I could have a personal trainer.
Ladies - Not that I am an expert or anything but they say you should really really really avoid weighing in every day. Your weight fluctuates too much. Try to do it on the same day every week if you must do it at all.

Down 1.4 for me.
Remember muscle weighs more than fat. So working out might not show on the scale so much as a measurement.
And if you really would like the personal trainer, you should go for it. I'm too intimadated by that thought.
