I'm back in the world!

I think we got around 10 inches, but the winds drifted our blacktop shut so that we didn't get out until late Saturday morning.
Randy managed to keep our driveway cleared with the tractor, but he had to go out about twice each day to get it done.
I did get a quilt finished, tho, except for borders.
Sue, I remember seeing that snake on the sidewalk. It was REALLY "brate brate."
I also remember a time we were leaving Grandma Anderson's and I was getting into your lap in the back seat. Someone (Bob, I think) slammed the door on my arm. He couldn't figure out why the door wouldn't close, so he opened it wider and slammed it harder until you hollered, "Wait!" And then you pulled my arm in.
I want to write about that Easter morning (1958?) when the car rolled into the creek, but my memories of it are a bit vague. Maybe someone can fill in the blanks for me.
Love to all.
Janell

I finally have a bit of time to post a message. "back in the world" is close lol (laugh out loud)

Dare2Share was amazing! The skits they do on Friday night are just so powerful. There were many in our group who were in tears. Really pushes the WHY we need to accept Jesus into our lives. I could go on and on, but don't want to take up space (nor do I have the time) to. For more info. go to www.dare2share.org I believe it's on the maine page, but there's a link to Lincoln. This will show what some attendees said about it. Our group didn't make it back down to Pershing Saturday night, for the final program. I was disappointed in this, since that's when the testimonies are given. The church youth director decided, although we could get downtown, we really didn't know if we could get back to the church (safely) afterwards. In the 30 minutes or so I was on the road (heading downtown) it had to have snowed 2 inches. Just crazy!

I read through the other blogs. It'll be really cool when this catches on! It's a great way to catch up with each other.

Praise report: My boss has paid for my tuition this quarter! What a blessing! God does work, even through Scientologists(the boss's choice of "religion") This was after I agreed to switch classes around so I'm not missing too much work. So now, I'm taking Composition 1 and Intro to Psychology. Kind of nervous, kind of excited all at once.

God is leading me further along my path in working with teens. Our (male) Youth Director has been leading a high school boys Bible Study. Since I'm starting classes, I really wasn't jumping at the idea of leading a small group. One of the girls asked me if I would lead a girls Bible Study. (I can take a hint! really!) So starting April 14, we will have the high school girls Bible Study on Sat. at 9:30 a.m. All I really have to do (now that I've thought about it) is show up and listen, then guide. I'm letting the girls choose which curriculim we will use.

Jaydee has really enjoyed working in the nursery, at church, on Sundays. Now she volunteers whenever it's needed. She asked me tonight "why (I) thought she preferred the nursery over classes or church services". I just told her "you don't have to sit still".

Kendra is following the "Anderson Love of Music". (Grandmas Clara and Rachel would be proud!) She is learning how to play the handbells, at church. She is playing the violin at school and is really doing well. She also can "pick out" a tune on the piano....with no music in front of her...just by "the way it's supposed to sound", she can play a song.

Janel, you were looking for funny stories. This is one of my favorites about Jaydee: We were in the car, on the way home, after work. She was in Kindergarten or First grade, and was learning her city, state and country. I was quizzing her...
Me: What city do you live in?
J: Lincoln
Me: What state do you live in?
J: Nebraska
Me: What country do you live in?
J: BIG RED!!
Oh my! Grandpa Jerry (and Wade) would be proud!

Off to bed! Cindy
