WUHOO!!!

I’m so glad to know I’m not out here all by myself!!
Actually, I knew you were there all along because I check the sitemeter.
Myrna, I like your blog.
Sue, I haven’t found your’s yet. If you post a comment here under your own blogger id, we should be able to click on your name and get taken right to it.
The new sod season appears to be getting underway. We started doing some grading Monday and have been keeping busy out there in construction land.
Joani is still recovering from her surgery, though a lot slower than she’d like to be. I’ve been chauffeuring her the last couple days to the grocery store and lunch in town and so forth. She gets so tired so quickly.
I had a Toastmasters meeting yesterday and won the traveling trophy for Table Topics (extemporaneous 1 ½ to 2 minute response to a question.) I haven’t been very good at that in the past, but I must be getting better. This has been a good group for me to be in. Keeps me thinking.
Better get busy and get some work done.
Love to all
Janell

Confession time: I've been lurking. That's about all I've really had time for lately. It's not going to get much better in the next few weeks. As I've been told...I'm "adding more irons to the fire".
Kendra spent last weekend camping at Camp Kitaki. Kitaki is on the same highway as Platte State park. Dang near drove past it, when I dropped her off Friday. The turn is behind a hill on a curve with a little itty bitty sign pointing to the camp. She had a lot of fun. There were 5 other girls from her elementary school there, too. It wasn't quite like the Lutheran Camp, where she usually doesn't know anyone else. They spent the weekend in cabins, not tents. That was a new experience for her too.
Friday night, Jaydee had a friend from Beatrice spend the night. Her mom and I lucked out when a friend of their family happened to be coming to Lincoln, that night. Otherwise, we were going to meet half way.

"Usual" stuff on Sunday. Church at 9:45. Jaydee works in the nursery for the 11:00 service. Normally, Kendra goes to Sunday School at 11. I either take George to his truck or home at 11. Then I hang out with the high schoolers in the Youth Wing. Noon is "high school"/youth Sunday School. Jaydee and Kendra hang out either in the game room or entertain the other adult leaders' smaller childern. This week, we had 4 "Spriritual" stations to encourage the teens to pray for others and search the Bible for guidance.

Monday is "Coffeehouse". An informal learning time for high schoolers. It's an alternative Sunday School. We are watching the "Gospel Journey" (for a commercial, go to www.dare2share.org and there's a link to Gospel Journey) Then we have small group discussions about the video.

Vegged on Tues. Probably the last night I'll be able to do that for a while.

Weds. Kendra had handbell practice at church. Fortunately, we have Lenten meals on Weds. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't be having supper until 8:30. Not a good habit to get into since the girls are in bed at 9 and 10 (9 for elementary school, 10 for middle school).

Tonight, I had a Stephens Ministry meeting. Normally, I'd stop here. But we really had a couple of God Moments! Just as we were getting ready to leave someone noticed there were deer walking across the meadow next to our church. It was so cool! There were 5 or 6 deer that walked out of the trees to graze. One was a bit smaller, we were guessing it was a fawn. Then as one of the other gals and I were walking out the front door, 2 geese flew by! It's really going to be sad when all of the develpers take over that area. (No! I'm not moving to a farm to see these things every day!)

To the ladies living within 100 miles of Lincoln: Southwood Lutheran (my church) is having a Women's Retreat on April 21. e-mail me if you're interested in attending cdroses2@yahoo.com

Oh yeah...almost forgot. If you don't "see" me here for a while, there's a good reason. In addition to all of my current craziness, my classes start at Southeast Community College, next week. I'm taking Composition 1 on Tu and Th nights, then Introduction to Psychology via web.

Blessings!
Cindy
